Emerging Talents

There are many talents out there when it comes to making artistic fashion, and I was lucky enough to meet some of them at the Tariel Bisharian showroom in Milano some while ago. It was an exciting and interesting evening where I got to talk to some of the emerging designers and also the showroom owner himself. They all gave me an insight into their road to where they are today, and also the story behind their design.

All of the designers were amazing and talented, but there were 3 designers that really caught my eye. They really knew how to play with fashion, and experiment with fabric and silhouette.

The mix of opposite fabrics together creates an artistic fantasy and a beautiful vision. Nea Sandi is an Iranian brand based in Tehran under the creative direction of Negar Sanadizadeh, and represents craftmanship, quality, delicacy, and style. The clothes fit in the modern lifestyle of modern women who are their main consumers. The ready-to-wear woman´s capsule collection “HAFEZ” is inspired by contemporary art, paintings of the famous artist Mahmoud Farshchian, and craftsmanship. Art pieces of Mahmoud Farshchian provided a limitless inspiration for the designer with prints and shapes. Persian music instruments in the artist´s paintings inspired this collection in terms of the use of real leather and leather prints.

A colorful world of Armenian art. What an amazing combination of colors and images! Artuyt create scarves of silk with Armenian contemporary artist´s paintings and collages. One scarf takes a full of 2 months to complete. The new Capsule Collection 2018 was inspired by one of the greatest artists of the 20th-century, Sergei Parajanov and his collages.

Roberta Cenci

A really interesting and creative footwear design. The Roberta Cenci shoes reflect a woman in her image: energetic, stubborn and versatile. A woman can be now equally relaxed in the various moments of the day, without giving up their femininity. This unique design is expressed by the combination of colors, leather and jewelry, which represents the precious and elegant distinctive. The designer herself says that meticulousness and passion is the key for positioning every element, every detail and every stitch.

These designers made art into fashion and fashion into art. Perfect!

All in Le Coq Sportif

In collaboration with Why Not AS / Le Coq Sportif.

It´s a “kick-off” kind of day. I made myself a heathy lunch (tuna salad) and put on my sporty Le Coq Sportif outfit. Oh, and I also decided to have myself a long weekend after the moving to Italy and all the new vibes, so I woke up 11:30 today. Good start of the day actually! Wish it was like this almost every day..

Anyways, Le Coq Sportif is one of my favorite sport brands, and this new set really caught my eye. Feel pretty cool in it, as you can see. Hah.

My favorite series from Rituals…

This post contains press samples // Mildhpress

I have used Rituals products for a long time, and my favorites (of all time) are from the series called The Ritual of Anahata. I use these products every time I shower, want to give my skinn a little treatment or have myself some spa-time. Rituals are perfect for home-spa by the way, all the fragrances make you completely relaxed while leaving your skin shiny and soft.

Rituals has released a new and limited edition series called The Ritual of Anahata, and I have to say that I really love it! The products contain the fragrances Rosewood (which is closely linked to the heart chakra and is known to contain healing and soothing energy) and Pine (provides energy to keep a steady course in difficult times + renews both physical and mental energy). Perfect if you wish to slow down while you have a busy time after the holidays. It´s really important to stop and reflect sometimes, and also to relax once in a while, so you can regain your balance in life again. That´s exactly what The Ritual of Anahata is designed for, to help you slow down and embrace the diversity of the human soul. I really feel like this fragrance does that for me. Every time I shower or meditate while using the products from the Anahata series, I feel immediately relaxed and light, like my senses are opening up. Maybe it´s the smell, I don´t know, but it is really working.

Body scrub

Heart enchanting body scrub. First of all I use the body scrub, to remove impurities and dead skinn. I also feel like I´m removing bad vibes actually, hehe. This scrub is leaving my skinn so soft that the shower foam feels even better on my skinn afterwards.

Relax while showering

Heart opening shower foam. This shower foam has a soft texture and of course it smells amazing. They say that this smell enhancers your mood and helps you to relax  your heart, body and mind.

Body cream

Spread the love body cream. After having a shower, I use the relaxing moisturizer to extend the same scent experience.

Meditation candle

Illuminate your heart candle. This rosewood and pine scented candle is “the thing” if you want a warm and relaxing atmosphere in the room while your are meditating or studying. I really love to use it while I´m blogging or reading a book, but I am actually lighting it every evening for about 30 minutes to get that scent in the room.

The perfume

For Her and for Him. Before going out I always spray on with this amazing scent, so I can continue to feel good and calm. Rituals have created two perfumes, for Women and for Men. They are a little bit different, but to be honest I like using both of them, since the perfume for Men is actually Unisex. It´s of course more masculine, but not so much that it doesn’t fit on a woman as well.

I think that The Ritual of Anahata is the perfect gift when you want to do something extra for yourself or others. Show your family and friends that you care about their wellbeing, and buy them a product that their mind and body will enjoy!

The Roman Stadium

The Stadium of Trimontium in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, was built in the beginning of the 2nd century AD during the reign Emperor Hadrian (117-138), and is among the largest structures from the time of the Ancient Rome in the Balkan peninsula. The stadium is one of the many preserved buildings from the time of the Roman empire in Plovdiv. The facility, approximately 240 m (790 ft) m long and 50 m wide, could seat up to 30 000 spectators, and the seats are made of solid marble blocks (40 cm high and 75 cm wide), not to mention that the front parts are decorated with stylized lion paws. I mean, how cool is that? So big and so old, but still so stable. Today, the northern curved part of the Stadium (sfendona) is partially restored and is one of the most recognizable landmarks of Plovdiv.
It´s seriously amazing, so if you are ever in Plovdiv, you have to visit this masterpiece. It´s a “must see”. The stadium is located in the centre of Plovdiv, under the main pedestrian street, so it´s quite central. But only the northern end of the edifice can be observed at Dzhumayata Square, because the larger portion still lies beneath the buildings along the main street, running south from the visible part. By the way, now it’s the right time to plan your trip to Plovdiv. Because in 2019 Plovdiv will be the cultural capital of Europe, and it´s getting more and more magnificent.

Now, about the outfit, I decided to be a little bit more spontaneous with this one. In the beginning I thought of choosing a gray or a black sweater, to match with the rest of the outfit, but then I followed my gut and changed into a green military pattern hoodie to make it a bit mishmash. I love to play with patterns and silhouettes, and make the outfit “crazy”. That´s just my style.

A new life is waiting

In 2 weeks time I´m moving abroad. Say whaaat? Yes, that’s right, I’m moving, and hopefully for good. I can´t say anything for sure, because no one knows what the future holds and everything can happen, but I will finally follow my dreams in Italy. As I have mentioned earlier, Italy has always been in my heart. I’ve always felt good there for some reason. I do not quite know why, but it’s a damn good feeling.

I decided to move earlier than planned. The reason why I didn’t share this with you guys until now is because I wanted to be 100% sure that I was going, and it all happened pretty quickly actually. I already had plans to move there after the summer to take a masters degree in fashion, but then I began to speed up things a bit. I mean, why not just go out there now? Nothing is holding me back here in Norway anymore, and I have postponed it long enough, so..

In any case, I must learn the language first, so that´s why I decided to move now, to learn Italian before I start my masters in Milano. I applied for the school, got accepted, found me a place to live and bought a one way ticket. So I’m on it, and while I’m learning the language, I want to explore the Italian fashion industry, and have already started on some projects. You probably remember all my trips to Italy in 2017, well, I didn´t just take a vacay, but I also went to do some work that you will see more of in the year to come. So 2018 looks bright right now. Of course I’m a little scared and have thousands of different thoughts swimming around my head at once, but at the same time I can´t wait to start a new and exciting adventure. New year, new life. I´m ready!

I hope you all will continue to follow me on my crazy journey, it´s gonna be one hell of a ride! And as some of us know, an adventurous heart never changes.

Red for the Holidays

Merry Christmas, with a little delay. The time here in Bulgaria is passing by so fast and the schedule is full with stuff to do, people to see and things to buy. Holidays with family is always like that, but I love it!

Guess what, this red dress is as old as me… 23 years! My mum wore it on New Year’s eve 1994, and my grandmother chose to keep it in her closet until now. I decided to wear it on Christmas Eve, and styled it with the colors black and burgundy to achieve that Rock Chick/Punk vibe. It´s not often you see me in a typical vintage dress, but this one is different, maybe because it’s my mom´s (now mine, hehe). I don´t know, but I really like it, and it´s different, so…
The shoulder pads are still a part of the dress, as you can see. A trend that slowly starts to come back, so let´s say hello to the 1980’s, once again!

Flying home for Christmas

Håper også alle dere får feiret jul med hele familien i år, det er utrolig viktig, and the best thing in this world!

Perfect Xmas gifts

How cool is that?

4. & 5.

Fuktige eller varme værforhold, it is still keeping it real. Can I also just say that it´s a perfect size for traveling?

Works good for me! Again, travel size.

It´s a good size… for traveling. He-he.

Want to give someone special a little extra this Xmas? Well, here you have it!

Første søndag i advent

Kanskje litt tidlig for noen, men who cares.
